We gone! Everyone who visit this cave said it's one of the most beautiful and funniest cave never seen and now we can confirm this!
It's a swallow hole that become active only with exceptional quantity of rain. In past it "drunk" al lot of water because floor, walls and also ceilings are covered from scallops. Rock is very dark and only the limestone dissolved inside the water give some brigthness on the floor and on the concreptions block you can find along the cave.
Fun becomes because it's a one chilometer long sub-horizontal cave with a lot of lakes. If you wear diving suit you have fun, otherwise you will have only cold!
Only few pictures were done because we had our led-lights discharges. Sandro could only take in mind what are best places where to take pictures next time we'll visit this cave.
We meet at our usual bar in Basovizza on a very raining day without a decision about what cave to visit during this two-days slovenian tour. Absolutely excluded the sinkholes, caves with long open-sky pit, too much long walks to reach the entrance and short caves, our choose gone to Medvedjak. Ten minutes walk, one chilometer long and only five meters of the entrance pit under the rain.
Mauro take with him a tarpaulin so the others can wait out the rain while he and Irena fit out the ropes, two parallel descents. Who don't know this cave will be impressed, because after first ten meters, the pit open itself over a big galleries thirty meters high and twenty large.

To the right of the pit
Part at right of the pit is a large tunnel fully filled with any kind of concreptions that close after 200m. Left part is instead a very big tunnel 300m long where you advance in the absolutely black looking only where you headlamp can arrive. A great stalagmite has the bottom partially exploded over it's weight.
A dig at the right of a concreptional filling allow to continue before to stop in front of great depression at the crossing of two galleries. Front gallery is high, little nice but with a very muddy floor. Left gallery allow to visit a worderful large area filled with gours on the floor: spectacular.
When we come back out, fortunately the rain stop and weather will come to better; tomorrow we can go inside a cave with water, the Markov Spodmol.

Naturally conclusion is with legs under a table and all of us eat the tipical soup "yota" full of beans and cabbage: there will be a lot of smell problems this night when we'll sleep all together inside a room at the Ociski Rai Hostel!
Today we went inside a small, but very nice, cave of Berici Mountains, located along the beautiful Mills Valley, near Fimon (Vicenza).
Someone say it's one of the most beautiful of this mount group. For this reason, after its discover and first photographic session, the discover caving group closed the small entrance so anyone could go inside to damage it. Someone tell also that the GPS coordinates were volountary writed incorrect.
Naturally other cavers would like to visit this cave, also because they feel not right this kind of selfish "preservation". Some years ago the entrance was found and the cave become visitable again.
We have the lucky to have Enri as friend, one of these cavers, so we could arrange a new visit to make a new photographic session.
The small entrance is partially closed by rocks and brances to avoid animal's entrance. After open it, Enri gone inside with his small and funny dog Pedro, its first time inside a cave. There is about ten meters where to crawl and a shot narrow at the end. After that you are inside a room 30 meters long, 3-5 high and 10 large; there are a lot of concreptions that come down from a white ceiling. The white of ceiling and walls have a great contrast with the brown color of the muddy floor.
Upon the stalactites there was a lot of chironomids covered by dorps of moisture. Sandro had only the wide angle len on his camera, so he taken the picture from long distance to have the right focus. Here a man with his macro len could take a great shot.

And finally it's ready the final version of the short film that documents the extraordinary experience for over one hundred cavers coming from half part of Italy.
All gathered at Buso della Rana in July last year to give the joys of caving to those who struggle every day with the problems related to disability.
But the best thing was to find out how well do themselves the "give" something to others, understand that our daily problems are crap compared to what these people have to face every day. We all learned to better appreciate the little things in life and to establish that there are no barriers that can not be torn down; with the will, all you can do.
Inside backstage it emerges in all its aspects, the great fun that reigned during this wonderful day. Teo Turci has taught us that a person, just because it is a disability, should not be treated differently from any other. Too much respect to them makes them feel really different, while teasing and jokes, as you normally do between friends, they are the best medicine to make them feel a bit 'better.
Tempo fa il Gianky ci aveva parlato delle nuove ed interessanti esplorazioni che stavano compiendo loro del "Trevisiol" assieme a dei toscani in questa grotta del Corchia. Finalmente era giunto il momento di rispondere all'invito ed andare a vedere e fotografare. Ci hanno trattato con tutti gli onori ospitandoci nel loro campo interno e facendoci trovare tutto pronto; abbiamo dovuto portare solo il sacco a pelo e cose personali, un lusso!
Ci troviamo tutti dalla Piera verso mezzogiorno: 4 vicentini (Gianky, Giulio, Mirco e Figata), 3 veneziani (San, Simo e Massi) e due forlivesi (Teo e Bicio). Il tempo fa schifetto; secondo Teo è una costante quando si va via con i vicentini! Dopo esserci cambiati partiamo dalle macchine in mezzo a nebbia, vento e pioggerella; ideale per andare a rifugiarsi in grotta.
In quest'uscita il fotografo designato sarà Giulio: onore ed onere a lui. Per gli altri sarà relax, divertimento e devota obbedienza al capo di turno.
Il tratto iniziale è tipico degli ingressi naturali del Corchia: stretta diaclasi inclinata, questa qui da fare in libera. Più avanti intercetta numerosi arrivi laterali e verticali creando un reticolo abbastanza complicato dove è facile perdere il passaggio giusto che ti consente di fare meno fatica.
Lungo il percorso Teo si dimentica la macchina fotografica per strada, dopo aver fatto una foto. La recupera Figata tornando indietro e così i mitici speleo-reportage di Teo sono salvi.
Le zone nuove sono state scoperte grazie alla risalita di un camino di circa 70m suddiviso in tre parti. Alla sommità si entra in un meandro scavato in roccia diversa dal marmo, ambienti scuri e stretti a cui non daresti un soldo, ma che all'improvviso ti fanno sbucare nuovamente sul marmo e sul largo. La "strettoia del presidente" è l'ultimo passaggio che spalanca le porte ai temporanei 4 chilometri di nuovi rami esplorati. I grandi ambienti in cui ci troviamo aprono gallerie, condotte, camini e pozzi in ogni direzione; un paradiso per gli esploratori.
Arriviamo al campo che sono le 19:30, ci sistemiamo e, dopo aver fatto fuori il minestrone di fagioli, offerto dal GGT, ed il rum, offerto dall'S-Team, ci mettiamo nei sacchi a pelo abbastanza presto.
Il giorno successivo si va nei rami alti fino alla Sala Trevisiol, un grande ambiente originatosi all'intersezione di faglie con una spettacolare ed imponente parete.
Fatte le foto che bisognava fare, si esce con grande calma per ritrovare il tempo di merda che avevamo lasciato una volta entrati.
Birretta dalla Piera e poi festeggiamenti del compleanno di Giulio al Rifugio Puliti di Arni dove da quest'anno lavorerà pure Filippo, il presidente del GGT.
Splendida compagnia con "personaggi" di altissimo livello: grazie a tutti, siete stati fantastici!
